REAL-WORLD SELF-DEFENSE
(THE KRAV MAGA DEFENSIVE SYSTEM)

Krav Maga means « Close Combat » in Hebrew. It is a real-world self-defense methodology developed in the 1930s by Imi Lichtenfeld, drawing less from the mystique of traditional disciplines and more from practical, effective techniques. It is known for its practicality and effectiveness as a self-protection system.

Originally created to protect the Jewish community in Bratislava after the First World War, the system gained international recognition for its practical approach to personal safety, and its principles have been studied by security professionals around the world.

Based on natural motor reflexes, Krav Maga does not require special physical preparation and is popular among civilians for its practical strategies, speed and progressive learning curve.  The training builds on continuous motion, mindset conditioning and rapid, coordinated defensive responses in realistic, difficult situations. It is designed for both men and women, and a well-trained practitioner develops confidence and resilience.
